Treat an online course like a “real” course.

When it comes to online classes, it's easy to not treat it seriously because "no one is watching you."

That's not necessarily true.

Your trainer and fellow attendees are there with you, and it is in your best interest to be as involved as possible.

Turn on your camera, chat along in the comments and network with your fellow students.

In order for you to make the most of your time, you need to have the discipline to sit down and say to yourself, “I' m going to do this,” as well as the dedication to actually follow through.

Though you can be flexible as to when you choose to take the online training, you can’t put it off indefinitely, and classes aren't always available.

One of the easiest ways to ensure follow through is to remember why you are taking this online course in the first place.

Make sure you know your goals and do what you need to do to reach them, just as you would for a traditional, in-person class.

You must “show up,” attend on time and stay for the entire time if you’re going to get real value out of your course.

Treat your online session the same way you would a face-to-face class - or, better yet, a job - and you’ll be off to the right start.
